SENSEUP GMBH is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Privacy policy

Handling of personal data

Personal data refers to information that can be used to identify an individual, i.e. statements that can be traced back to that individual. This includes their name, email address or telephone number. SENSEUP GMBH only collects, uses and passes on personal data if this is legally permissible or the users concerned give their consent for the data to be collected. When making contact with SENSEUP GMBH (e.g. by email or the contact form on our website), the user’s statements are stored for the purpose of processing the request and in order to answer any subsequent questions.

Information collected by E-mail

If you send us an e-mail, we will collect your e-mail address and the contents of your message. We will use your e-mail address and the information included in your message to respond to you, to address the issues you identify, and to improve this web site. We may also use your e-mail address to notify you about updates and services offered by us. If you would prefer not to receive e-mail or other communications from us, contact us at info@senseup.de.

Cookies

A cookie is information that a website stores on your computer so that it can remember something about you at a later time. Cookies are commonly used on the internet and do not harm your system. They are stored

on the users’ devices during and/or after users visit a website. “Temporary cookies”, “session cookies”,

or “transient cookies” are cookies that are deleted after users leave a site and close their browsers. However, other cookies are referred to as “permanent” or “persistent” and remain stored even after the browser is closed. “Third-party cookies” are cookies that are offered by the original providers (who operate the website) to other parties. (If the original provider is the one using the cookies, they are often called “first-party cookies”). First party and third party cookies are currently used on the SENSEUP GMBH website. They do

not include any information that others could read and understand about you, and will be used primarily

to improve the use of this site and for your own browsing convenience.

E-mail dispatch and hosting

The web hosting services we use also include the dispatch, receipt and storage of e-mails. For these purposes, the addresses of the recipients and senders as well as further information regarding the e-mail dispatch (e.g. the providers involved) and the contents of the respective e-mails are processed.

The aforementioned data may also be processed for the purpose of SPAM detection. Please note that e-mails on the Internet are generally not sent in encrypted form. As a rule, e-mails are encrypted in transit, but (unless a so-called end-to-end encryption method is used) not on the servers from which they are sent and received. We can therefore not assume any responsibility for the transmission path of the e-mails between the sender and the reception on our server.

Collection of access data and log files

We ourselves (or our web hosting provider) collect data on every access to the server (so-called server log files). Server log files may include the address and name of the web pages and files accessed, date and time of access, data volume transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page) and, as a rule, IP addresses and the requesting provider. The server log files can be used for security purposes, e.g. to avoid overloading the servers (especially in the case of abusive attacks, so-called DDoS attacks) and to ensure the capacity utilization of

the servers and their stability.

  • Processed data types: Content data (e.g. text entries, photographs, videos), usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times), meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).

  • Persons concerned: Users (e.g. website visitors, users of online services).

  • Purposes of processing: contractual services and service.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. DSGVO).

  • Used services and service providers: Hosting platform for websites; Service provider: Wix.com ltd.,

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. These websites are not under our control and are not subject to our privacy policy. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.

Social media data

Instagram

Our website also uses so-called Social Plugins (“Plugins”) from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”). The plug-ins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an “Instagram camera”. When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram’s servers. Instagram transfers the content of the plugin directly to your browser and integrates it into the page. This integration informs Instagram that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can immediately associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the “Instagram” button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there. The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed to your contacts. If you do not want Instagram to associate the information collected through our website directly with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website.

Please refer to Instagram’s privacy policy (https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388) for more information.

LinkedIn

Our website uses functions of the LinkedIn network. The provider is LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Every time you visit one of our pages that contains functions of LinkedIn,

a connection to LinkedIn’s servers is established. LinkedIn is informed that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the “Recommend button” of LinkedIn and are logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn is able to associate your visit to our website with you and your user account.

We point out that we as provider of the pages have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data

and their use by LinkedIn.

For more information, please see LinkedIn’s privacy policy at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

YouTube

We integrate videos from the YouTube platform provided by Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/, Opt-Out: https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 (1)

lit. f GDPR. When you visit one of our sites with a YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile.

You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Xing

The “XING Share Button” is used on this offer. When this website is called up, a short-term connection to XING AG servers (“XING”) is established via the user’s browser, with which the “XING Share Button” functions (in particular the calculation/display of the meter value) are performed. XING does not store any personal data of the user when calling up this offer. In particular, XING does not store any IP addresses. There is also no evaluation of the usage behaviour via the use of cookies in connection with the “XING Share Button”. Users can call up the latest data protection information on the “XING Share Button” and additional information on this website: https://www.xing.com/app/share?op=data_protection

Google Maps

This page uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To use the functions of Google Maps it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission. The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing representation of our online offers and at an easy findability of the places indicated by us on the website. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google’s data protection declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Twitter

Our website uses functions of the Twitter network; service provider: Twitter Inc, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA; Privacy Policy: https://twitter.com/de/privacy, (Settings) https://twitter.com/personalization;Privacy Shield (ensuring the level of data protection when processing data in the USA): https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active.

Integration of third-party services and content:

It may happen that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party providers”) perceive the IP address of the users, because without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We endeavour to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the contents. However, we have no influence on this if the third party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we inform the users about this.

Consent

By using the site, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information by us in the manner described in this privacy policy and elsewhere on the site.

Revocation, modifications, reports and updates

On request, the user has the right to be informed free of charge about any personal data that may have been stored. The user also has the right to have incorrect data corrected and personal data blocked and deleted, provided this is not ruled out by a statutory obligation to retain data.

Disclosure of information to third parties

SENSEUP GMBH shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality and security, and to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) any personally identifiable information to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of SENSEUP GMBH), whether for such third parties’ marketing purposes or otherwise, subject only to the following four exceptions: SENSEUP GMBH may disclose personally identifiable information to third parties in the event that such disclosure is required by the laws, rules, or regulations of any nation, state, or other applicable jurisdiction; SENSEUP GMBH may disclose contact information to third parties as appropriate for SENSEUP GMBH to make transmissions or deliveries to you; SENSEUP GMBH may disclose personally identifiable information if, in connection with submitting the information, you consent to such disclosure; and SENSEUP GMBH may disclose contact information for you in response to inquiries by bona-fide rights owners in connection with allegations of infringement of copyright or other proprietary rights arising from information you have posted on the site or otherwise provided to SENSEUP GMBH.

Security

SENSEUP GMBH has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorised SENSEUP GMBH personnel are provided access to personally identifiable information, and these employees are required to treat this information as confidential. Despite these precautions, SENSEUP GMBH cannot guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your personally identifiable information. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Children's on-line privacy protection

SENSEUP GMBH understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an on-line environment. The site is not intentionally designed for or directed at children 13 years of age or younger,

and SENSEUP GMBH will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.
